{"id":24492,"date":"2021-12-22T14:07:08","date_gmt":"2021-12-22T19:07:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uusj.net\/wp1\/?p=24492"},"modified":"2021-12-22T14:12:54","modified_gmt":"2021-12-22T19:12:54","slug":"stephen-cox","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uusj.net\/wp1\/stephen-cox\/","title":{"rendered":"Stephen Cox"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The UUSJ Immigrant Action Team Gets It<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I first became involved with the Immigration Action Team as an offshoot of my work with the Migrant Solidarity Team of All Souls Church Unitarian in Washington, DC. \u00a0We have been working on direct support for immigrants in our community for years, though I had not been active until I retired in 2018. \u00a0When the representative from our Migrant Solidarity Team on the IAT moved on, I volunteered to participate.<\/p>\n<p>I have been deeply impressed by the thoughtfulness and hard work of the IAT.
