Protest rallies and legal appeals are underway. However, most immigrant advocates say only a change in administration will provide a legal pathway to citizenship.\u00a0 for TPS holders who have lived and worked in the US for over 20 years.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, we strongly oppose a public rule change proposed by the Department of Homeland Security to expand the types of biometrics collected from immigrants as well as expanding the list of those required to appear for them (and pay the fee). It adds children under 14, who are currently exempt. It also adds sponsors and petitioners \u2013 including US citizens \u2013of immigrant applicants.
