The Poor People\u2019s Campaign — Through 2020 and Beyond<\/b><\/p>\n

You may recall, both UUA and UUSJ endorsed the Poor People\u2019s Campaign (PPC) and have committed to fighting: the distorted moral narrative, systemic racism, poverty, the war economy and ecological devastation as important intersectional and interfaith social justice work. <\/span>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Many UUs from across the nation have joined this fight! So can you! <\/span><\/p>\n

The PPC Campaign launched in 2017 and, in 2018 organized 40 Days of Moral Fusion Direct Action, the most expansive wave of nonviolent civil disobedience in modern history.<\/span> Hundreds of UUs participated nationwide. <\/span><\/p>\n

Rev. Michael Crumpler,<\/b> UUA LGBTQ & Intercultural Programs Manager, offers\u00a0<\/span>Arrested for Justice<\/span><\/i><\/a>, <\/span><\/i>on being arrested for the first time in his life and his reflections on the experience of doing so with the Campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rev. Abhi Janamanchi<\/span><\/a> Cedar Lane UUC, MD and <\/span>Rev. Dr. Beth Johnson<\/span><\/a>, \u00a0Palomar UUF, CA spoke at major rallies during the 40 Days. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rev.<\/b> Robin Tanner<\/b>,<\/span> a UU with <\/span>the <\/span>Faith Team for the Poor People\u2019s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, offered a commentary<\/span> I Was A Wearied Kind of Ready: Lessons from Poor People\u2019s Campaign<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
