UUs from across the country came to Washington, DC on January 21 to march for the inherent worth and dignity of every person alongside about 500,000 other activists. The UU contingent, partially organized by UUSJ and the UUA, was a visible presence and contributed to the energy of solidarity at the historic Women\u2019s March on Washington.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven after actor America Ferrera\u2019s speech had ended, her words \u2018We are America, and we are here to stay!\u2019 echoed on. I heard it in the chants of \u2018This is what democracy looks like,\u2019 \u2018Black Lives Matter,\u2019 and \u2018Immigrants are welcome here.\u2019 And I felt it deeply as I marched in solidarity with friends and strangers.\u201d<\/i> – Elizabeth Stevens, UUSJ Administrator<\/p>\n

- NEW! UUSJ Capitol Hill Advocacy Corps – giving voice to UU principles and values: Every morning on the second Tuesday of the month, corps members will visit offices of Members of Congress. No expertise or experience is required, only a commitment to our UUSJ issue priorities. The Advocacy Corps first visit will be on Valentine\u2019s Day, Tuesday, February 14.
