\"\"<\/a>UUSJ’s 2018 GOTV theme is Mobilizing UU Congregations Towards Electoral Justice<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/span> We hope our toolkit of downloadable resources and accompanying web page<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0with curated links to helpful websites and materials are useful as your congregation joins in action for electoral justice in the 2018 midterm elections.<\/p>\n

This initiative is grounded in our UU faith and the Fifth Principle, which supports the democratic process in our lives. With support from the Fund for UU Social Responsibility, UUSJ is working with congregations and partner organizations<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>to register voters,offer thoughtful resources for reflection on social justice issues, and encourage robust participation in the November elections.<\/p>\n

While our project highlights Iowa<\/strong>, Florida<\/strong>, Maryland<\/strong>,\u00a0and Virginia<\/strong>,<\/span> many resources in this toolkit are usable anywhere in the U.S., for local, state and national elections.\u00a0(See full list of UUSJ Project Partner organizations, states, and the District of Columbia below)<\/p>\n

With this project, UU congregations can build congregation-based voter mobilization teams and activate members to volunteer at voter registration and canvassing activities in their areas and beyond, and to raise questions at candidate forums.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We welcome all UU congregations to participate in this initiative, which provides a range of opportunities for congregations and individuals to engage in voter mobilization for this important election year.
