Advancing the cause of social justice requires eternal vigilance. With each victory we celebrate, but we must be prepared to respond to the setbacks that often follow.
I recall the pain of growing up in the racially segregated South, followed by the hope that the civil rights movement of the 1960s brought. As we contemplate losses to advances made during that time and subsequently, we must act to secure the gains made and to continue to move forward. We must be ready to act in solidarity with the impacted, the vulnerable, and the marginalized.
First Name, because I believe this, I am participating as a trustee and contributor to UUSJ. I urge you to participate as well and to donate if you are able. We are all together as one in community.
Please join me in supporting UUSJ with a financial gift.
