Stay Informed: 2015 Paris Climate Conference – Nov. 30 – Dec. 11

The U.S. Department of State recently invited 90 religious leaders, including several UU leaders for a two day meeting held in with the Georgetown University’s Berkely Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs. A large group of UUs attended the portion of the meeting open to the public to learn how they could get involved at the United Nations 2015 Conference of the Parties (COP) 21.

The 2015 COP 21 is being held in Paris from November 30 to December 11. Check out how you can stay tuned below:

  1. UUs in Paris Facebook page – On this page, there will be information about events and rallies, and whatever else is happening leading up to Paris and while our six UU participants are in Paris.
  2. UU Climate Action Network Facebook page – Functions as a place to engage folks in conversation; people are already talking about COP 21!
  3. Pray4cop21.org website – This also brings together resources to help people to pray during the climate talks. It has been put together by Pray and Fast for the Climate with input from many different organizations. There is an email sign up for daily prayers during COP.
  4. Climate Portal website – Another resource which includes info on the UU Perspective on the COP process and a lot of background on climate issues.
