Join us for an informative presentation on the club’s legislative priorities for the 2016 Virginia General Assembly session. Susan Stillman, Legislative Chair of the Virginia Chapter of the Sierra Club, will discuss the important issues for this legislative session–such as renewable energy, defending the Clean Power Plan, the Virginia Coastal Protection Act, transportation, and repeal of a law that allows gas companies to survey private property without property owner permission. The discussion will provide an overview of opportunities to go to Richmond to lobby your legislators and/or contact them while in their home districts and through the Sierra Club’s citizen lobby corp. Attend this presentation to better understand the processes in Richmond, and learn to be an effective proponent of the issues that you care about.
