UUSJ Joins Groups Supporting DREAMERS – September 3rd

UUSJ has joined with the National Korean American Service and Education Consortium and other organizations, including the UU Association and UU Service Committee, to support a 22-day DREAM vigil in front of the White House to defend the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and Temporary Protective Status designation.

On September 3, UUs will host this one day vigil, with UU clergy from Cedar Lane and All Souls sharing special prayers and reflections at 8:30am and 5:30pm. UUSJ will provide the dinner meal for the vigil crew following the 5:30pm prayer service. Join area UUs anytime during the 24 hours to show our solidarity with the immigrant community under the “Love Resists” campaign. Watch a video of Hyun Kim, a young dreamer, explain why he is standing vigil.
