Addressing the Climate Crisis

One of the priority issues of Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice (UUSJ) is Environmental and Climate Justice. The Environmental Action Team of UUSJ addresses the existential climate crisis and environmental justice by:

  • creating action alerts.
  • soliciting letters to Congress relating to our action alerts.
  • participating with the UUSJ Congressional Advocacy work by arranging meetings (currently online only) with congressional offices.
  • participating in witness events (e.g., marches), and partnering with Community and Faith groups to develop our lobbying and witnessing efforts.
  • writing talking points for the UUSJ Write Here, Write Now program.
  • Submitting comments or letters to Executive Branch officials.
  • Presenting and participating in webinars.

If you would like to participate in our work, please contact our Executive Director to be put on our contact list and/or go to our Volunteer page to sign up.
