Beacon House Needs Volunteers

tutoringBeacon House is a UU-founded and supported after-school academic enrichment program for children and youth ages 5-18 located in Northeast D.C. near Catholic University.  Each day after school, between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m., Beacon House helps children complete their homework assignments.  There are many more children than staff members which makes it difficult to give each child the degree of attention they need.  If anyone has the time to help, even once a week or occasionally, please contact Gerry Kittner at gkittner(at)beaconhoussedc.org.  Beacon House is accessible by metro on the Red Line to Rhode Island Ave. station.  Beacon House will pick you up and drop you off at the station.
